FAQ

Quick questions,
Straight answers.

Is this an official Pantone conversion?

No. It is an approximate match based on public screen previews of Pantone solid coated colors, not the licensed Pantone library. Always confirm with a physical swatch book.

Why does my color look different in print?

Screens mix light in RGB and presses mix ink in CMYK or spot colors. Bright blues, greens and oranges often sit outside what ink can reach, so a spot color is chosen to get close.

Coated or uncoated?

These matches are for coated (C) paper. The same ink looks softer and darker on uncoated paper, so check the uncoated swatch too if you print on it.
